A former president of the largest Sindhi organzation in the United States and Canada has thrown his weight behind a protest organized by the pro-independence American Friends of Baluchistan in Houston, Texas, on Saturday morning against a Pakistani coup plotter.

Aziz Narejo, former president of the Sindhi Association of North America, asked all those people who value humanisn and democracy to join the protest against the fugitive dictator.

The Houston protest has been organized by A.F.B. activists Rashid Baluch and Malik Baluch at the Omni Hotel on Four Riverway, Houston, Texas, 77056 at 10.45 a.m. Saturday.

Musharraf has been invited by the World Affairs Council of Houston and tickets are $40 each. It is the second time the W.A.C. has invited the dictator to its event in 10 months-- earlier this year he was invited by the W.A.C. of Western Michigan, though the W.A.C. in Washington D.C. distanced itself from the invitation to the dictator.

Narejo also wrote a letter to Linda Wuest, Executive Director and officials of the W.A.F. of Houston, expressing his concern over the invitation to the dictator and fugitive from law.

Narejo in his letter to Wuest said: "It is a matter of grave concern that your esteemed organization has invited fugitive from law in Pakistan, ex-military dictator, Pervez Musharraf to speak in Houston. I hope you are aware that Supreme Court of Pakistan recently gave a verdict against his illegal and unconstitutional actions and a High Court has ordered to book him for the murder of Akber Bugti, former Governor and Chief Minister of Pakistani province Balochistan.

"Your invitation to dictator Musharraf can't be justified on any reasonable grounds. It is akin to honoring Generals Augusto Pinochet, Idi Amin, Pol Pot or former Yugoslav dictator Slobodan Milosevic. Musharraf has committed crimes against people, a country and its Constitution. It is a slap in the face of the pro-democracy people of Pakistan to invite him to a dignified forum.

"I would urge you to please instead join the pro-democracy people in their demand to extradite Musharraf to Pakistan to stand trial for his crimes. I would call upon you to please support democracy and not the dictatorship. Your actions should inspire people not to make them lose faith in the good in the face of the evil.

"Since you won't let anyone to speak to rebuke the propaganda of Musharraf, I request you to please distribute the following petition among the audience so that they see the other side too. I hope you would do it in the spirit of fairness and democracy," Narejo said.

Narejo also asked people to sign a petition for Musharraf's extradition to Pakistan:

Extradite ex-dictator Musharraf to Pakistan:
An Appeal to the People & the Government in USA & World Leaders

We call upon the US government to revoke fugitive from law in Pakistan, ex-military dictator Pervez Musharraf's visa and extradite him to Pakistan to be tried for High Treason under Article 6 of the Constitution of Pakistan and for his other crimes under relevant laws.

Ex-military dictator Pervez Musharraf who seized power on October 12, 1999 in a coup against an elected government has committed heinous crimes against the people and the country. He has violated the Constitution, dissolved the elected assemblies, compromised sovereignty of the country, destroyed institutions, waged war on own people, murdered political leaders and innocent citizens, caused disharmony among provinces, created divisions among the people, weakened the foundations of the country, threatened its integrity and ruined the economy bringing untold of miseries to the masses. It is a matter of great concern that the US government has issued visa to this criminal and he has been invited to address and hoodwink the people in USA at various fora. We call upon the people and the government in USA and the world leaders to respect the will of the people of Pakistan and support the demand for his extradition to Pakistan to stand trial for his crimes. A partial list of his crimes as follows:

This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Perhaps criminals like Zardari ought to be invited. May be then this Narejo guy would get ecstatic. I have been in Pakistan for few a months and I have never seen more corrupt people (morally and fiscally) than those who are in the PPP.
